Here it goes! My first attempt on writing a blog.
It's hard having my "tribe" being completely dispersed across the good ol' USA and even Europe, add that to the fact that I am not always 100% good at emailing and I thought this could work out perfectly to send my peeps updates. So here they are in no certain order:
1) found out I was pregnant on June 22nd after days of being inexplicably exhausted - sat on couch and stared at stick - mixture of excitement, disbelief, and complete surprise (well, I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised in retrospect)
2) first dr's apt with brand new ob-gyn, brought hubby along, he was a trooper and deserves a million gold stars. Doc said due date is Feb 22nd ( my b-day is Feb 14th!)
3) first ultrasound, brought nervous hubby along again. one of the most exciting days of my life. I started to cry when the lab tech located the baby and we could see it's little heart beating - it even moved around for us, something akin to a backstroke. Pretty amazing. Was on cloud 9 for next 24 hours - it made this so much more real. Lab tech said high heart rate associated with h

aving a girl.....4) Cosmo and I both convinced we are having a girl now....but we all know how the universe works. We will have a boy, stay tuned, we find out in a month -can't wait!
5) feeling good, just sleepy. Cosmo is so patient with my hormonal mood swings and my sleepiness, again, he deserves more gold stars - thanks Cos! (he has put up with soup from a can and sandwiches for dinner past 2 nights in a row- and no complaints ever)
6) also, the other mamas; my little ma is always willing to listen - thanks mama! and mama-in-law Mrs. D, so supportive and excited for us
